Music fans, the GRAMMYs are upon us. Whether you love them or you hate them, one thing we can all agree on is that nothing beats music being at the forefront of conversation, and amazing artists being celebrated for the work that inspires us every day. We’re happy to see this year’s GRAMMYs take place in our home city of New York, and even more excited to see music industry folks donning white roses to support #TimesUp, a movement stated by women that is near and dear to us at 6/8 Music. We’re excited by so many of this year’s nominees, and have been jamming to their songs regularly throughout the past year. We’ve compiled a playlist of our favorite nominees that we’re hoping will win big this Sunday night at Madison Square Garden. From female acts like Alessia Cara and SZA, to indie bands like Sylvan Esso and The National, we’re seeing ourselves, an independent music company for women, on stage this Sunday. We’re fighting hard to see ourselves represented more fairly, but in the meantime, we’ll turn up our music and celebrate the achievements of all the amazing female and indie artists that will make history on the GRAMMYs stage. We hope you do the same!
