Quotable Women in Music

Whenever I get down on myself or lose my inspiration, I turn to women of past and present who are a tad bit wiser than me. For years, my Monday mornings are filled with sipping my coffee and googling quotes about whatever it is I am growing through.
I find clarity and peace in reading the nuggets of inspiration from those who at one point knew exactly what I was going through. This week’s blog is a bit different than our typical post. This week, I’d like to share some wise words that have resounded in my mind weeks after reading them. I encourage you to post, share, retweet, and send to other women in your life who may need this daily dose of inspo. Enjoy!

Now it’s time to change the industry for the better. It’s all right here, in how we support each other, in how we’re committed to providing young women with a safer environment free from harassment and discrimination.”

“You could write a song about some kind of emotional problem you are having, but it would not be a good song, in my eyes, until it went through a period of sensitivity to a moment of clarity. Without that moment of clarity to contribute to the song, it’s just complaining.” – Joni Mitchell
